PubMed Central provides information about many articles written in the biomedical sciences, though may not have as many specific towards nursing as CINAHL or Cochrane. It is still helpful to finding additional articles and expand your research.

Creating Your Search

1. Find your terms: PubMed Central uses Medical Subject Headings or MeSH Terms for short. 
   • To find these click Advanced and change the dropdown from All Fields to MeSH terms, then enter your keywords.
2. Add your MeSH terms to the Search Builder as you go.
   • Note that the MeSH term also includes entry terms that may be useful to enter as keywords.
   • For our topic, the MeSH terms would be: Health Promotion; and Diet, Health 
   • Adding key terms and other entry terms, the full query would be: (("Health Promotion"[Mesh] OR "health promotion" OR "wellness programs" OR "health campaign") AND ("Diet, Healthy"[Mesh] OR "healthy diet" OR "Healthy Nutrition"))
