Company Profiles, Annual Reports & Financial Statements
A company profile is a professional introduction and aims to inform people (primarily prospective buyers and stakeholders) about the company's products, services, and current status. It includes the official name of the company, its address, telephone number, e-mail address, and the overall business activities of the company. Also, it contains the overall strategy of the company, including its purpose and mission statement, as well as the structure of the company, whether it's public, private, or a partnership.
An annual report is a document published yearly by public corporations to provide stockholders, the public, and the government with financial data, a summary of ownership, and the accounting practices used to prepare the report. It is usually a state-of-the-company report, including an opening letter from the Chief Executive Officer, financial data, results of operations, market segment information, new product plans, subsidiary activities, and research and development activities on future programs.
Financial statements are written records that convey the business activities and the financial performance of a company. Financial statements are often audited by government agencies, accountants, firms, etc. to ensure accuracy and for tax, financing, or investing purposes. Financial statements include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
