Troubleshooting Quick Fixes

Please review the following for helpful tips for accessing Waters Library's electronic resources.

  • Current enrollment status at East Texas A&M University
  • Due to licensing agreements, we can only offer access to library resources to current students and employees. If you are enrolled for an upcoming semester, and not the current semester, please submit this form.

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies
  • This is a quick fix for many common access issues. Please see our FAQ page for more information on clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

  • Update browser settings
  • You may need to update your browser to the most current version. Also, some resources require cookies and JavaScript. Please enable these for pages to display properly.

  • Hit a paywall
  • Access resources through OneSearch or through the A-Z Databases page. For more information about accessing resources while off campus, please see our Research Guide.

  • MyLeo password
  • It is possible that your myLeo password is out of sync and needs to be reset. Please contact the HelpDesk for assistance in resetting your password. Please wait at least 15 minutes before trying your new password to access online resources.

  • Faculty, Staff VPN
  • You may need to set up the GlobalProtect VPN to access library resources. Please contact the HelpDesk for assistance.

  • Graduate assistants
  • You may need to log in to library resources through your Active Directory (AD) credentials, rather than your student credentials. If you have any questions about this process, please fill out our Troubleshooting form and let us know in the Description that you are a graduate assistant.
