An annotated bibliography is a summary and/or evaluation of a list of sources. This is usually through a combination of summarizing, evaluating and reflecting on each source
- The article's citation
- Use APA Style 7th edition. RefWorks is a great citation management tool to help with this.
- A concise summary
- The why, who, what, how, and key findings. Be careful not to plagiarize the description or abstract.
- Your evaluation of the article, for example:
- How does it compare to the other sources on your list
- What are limitations of the study?
- Does it support your view point or offer another?
- Your reflection on how you will use the information from the article in your project, For example,
- Does it support or contradict your thesis?
- Does it provide evidence to answer your research question?
