Meet The Archivists
Adam Northam is the Digital Archivist at East Texas A&M University. He began working at Velma K. Waters Library in 2006 while pursuing a Master's Degree in Library Science, which he earned from the University of North Texas in 2007. He previously earned a Bachelor's degree in History with a second major in Political Science from East Texas A&M University. Early involvement with digital collections pilot projects in the library led to the establishment of the Northeast Texas Digital Collections in 2008, of which he is the primary administrator. Adam is a member of the Society of Southwest Archivists and the Society of American Archivists. He has presented at several regional and state conferences on matters related to digital preservation and digital collections.
Sawyer Magnus is Head Archivist with East Texas A&M University Archives. He began at East Texas A&M University in 2019. Prior to this position, he earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science degree in 2018 from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he focused on archives, special collections, and preservation. Sawyer has also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Historic Preservation and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Southeast Missouri State University.
